What is a Doula ?
The Greek word Doula means a person’s caregiver. We now use the word to describe a trained and experienced labour companion who provides the birthing person and their support person and/or partner continuous emotional support, physical comfort and assistance in obtaining information before, during and just after childbirth.
The acceptance of Doulas in the birthing system is growing rapidly with the recognition of their contribution to the improved physical outcomes and emotional well-being of new parents and infants.
DOULA PACKAGES
Birth Package
2 Prenatal Meetings + 24 hr on call support from week 37+ Labour & Birth Attendance + 1 Postnatal Visits +1 Massage Therapy Session
The purpose of the prenatal meetings are to prepare for labour, birth & early parenting and to become acquainted & comfortable with one other. This is the core for building a relationship of trust between client + Doula. Based on your needs we will tailor your birth preparation built on the following:
Working together - Birth Mapping - Postpartum Planning
My prenatal doula sessions are Lamaze based structured and are intertwined with wisdom and evidence based information. I also bring forth inclusive language in my work.

Post Natal Package
My intention is to offer you support as a new parent in the day to day and attend to your unique needs during this sensitive and crucial time in life.
I want to be there for and with you to listen, to nourish you and to hold the space for a healthy birth recovery. Becoming a parent is indeed and emotional, mental and physical rollercoaster and having the right support around you is fundamental for a positive birth recovery.
We can arrange each session based on what you wish or need to. You have the option for me to come over twice a week if
needed to.
Massage therapy is also available in my visits if you choose the bundle option.

Only Doula sessions:
3 hrs x 1 session = $250
3 hrs x 3 doula sessions = $750
3 hrs doula x 6 sessions = $1,400
Doula + massage bundle:
2hrs x 1 doula + 1 massage treatment = $360
2hrs x 3 doula + 3 massage treatment = $1,080
2 hrs x 6 doula x 6 massage treatment = $2,060
